I suggest adding a new item called Magic Note Paper.

Magic Note Paper would allow players to convert regular inventory items into their noted form directly from the inventory.

Each paper would cost 100 GP and would be consumed when used. This also creates a small but useful gold sink for the server economy (add vendor or marketplace).

How it would work

Players could use Magic Note Paper on a regular item in their inventory and choose one of the following options:
Note 1
Note X
Note All

The item would then be converted into its noted version, using 1 Magic Note Paper per item noted.

Example

If a player has:
20 big bones
20 Magic Note Papers

They could choose Note All, and the 20 big bones would become 20 noted big bones. All 20 Magic Note Papers would be consumed.

This would improve skilling quality-of-life by reducing unnecessary banking trips, especially for mining, fishing, woodcutting, smithing, and other gathering activities.

At the same time, the 100 GP per item cost keeps it balanced and creates a continuous GP sink for the economy.
