Is the "remove dragon items from shops" thing referring to custom items?  That's the only thing I can assume, cause if you're talking about removing dragon long and axe, that's a horrible idea.  If you make them high level monster drops only, those spots will be camped by 1-2 groups and they will control the economy.  Exactly what you're trying to avoid.

I'm glad you posted this. When I was first shown the list of questions I thought there was no way that players wouldn't want dragon axe and sword to be in the shops (with associated completion of quests heros and lost city) then the vote results show otherwise I was very surprised. So either players want them obtainable some other way (kbd I guess?) and not sold in shops, or they didn't really understand the question.

There is no plan for custom items in rev2, especially weapons.

The question was also poorly framed because there was no mention on how this impact the quest requirements.
Are people now going to be able to use dragon battleaxe without heroes? Or sword without lost city?
It is easy to see why people who don't want to do quests or get any build restrictions would vote for this if they think they don't have to do the quests now

To add on to this, in order to get the drops, characters should have to have the quests completed so at least there are some gates to get the drop so it hopefully makes it a little more accessible and less camped by the same few people with a bunch of characters.

Hmm, you know, if that's possible then yeah I agree with this.

Na that's dumb. Wearing sure but not getting them from drops.

Dunno why people want others to do quests so bad. We've these quests dozens of times. Why should we be forced to do some dumb content for 0 enjoyment. Quests are dumbest thing created in RuneScape.

I just want some gates in place to limit how many characters people have camped at everything needed to play the game. Having a bunch of things inaccessible to the average player because people have multiple characters logged in 24/7 at every resource, shop, training spot, etc. is annoying and off-putting to people. It is not beneficial for building a server when every aspect is controlled by a small handful of people. I would love to just play one character but it feels impossible to keep up or compete for anything without multi logging.

This ^
I only play on 1 char. Would love a server where only 1 char is allowed at a time, like in the original rsc. Would be good for longevity too.

Sucks. This just caters to the day 1 players who've nolifed everything already.

The quest requirements shouldn't be watered down, because wearing a certain item means that the player has gone through something and done the work required. Rune plate mail is so iconic, because everyone knows that player wearing has slain the dragon and earned it.

This is the reason I'm worried about quest skip items for dragon weapons. Wearing a dragon sword or a dragon axe should show that player has done something more than bought subs for irl money and traded that for an expensive weapon.

Myself, I don't enjoy questing THAT much, I just like to complete them for completion's sake and because of the rewards involved.

I wonder if there's a way to separate accounts made just for staking and allowing them to buy the wear rights in some form. But that should in my opinion mean that the weapon cannot be used for anything other than duels. I.E. when training on mobs, you couldn't use it and had to train with r2h or something along those lines.

TL;DR: Please don't water down the meaning behind being able to wear dragon weapons. I think this is important in preserving the RSC feel on the server.

I agree. Yes there isn't a lot of fun from doing quests but the sense of achievement when you have completed them is something to be proud of!

If drag weps are not going to be able to be purchased in store in the traditional RSC way, they definitely need to be something attainable without having to be in wilderness. That would give even more power to those people with tons of characters or large teams and really hamper the individuals that play a more independent game. Entering wilderness is also the most toxic place on the server and it's really off-putting to be at the mercy of these huge teams or people with tons of high level characters (or shared access to a bunch of characters). People shouldn't have to pk or have multiple flats level characters to be able to enjoy the game and obtain items. If the pkers want to pk and nothing else, thats their prerogative, but the whole game shouldn't run through wilderness.

If at least dragon sword and axe are not available in shops, whatever monsters drop those are going to be flooded and the handful of super hardcore people are going to have 5 characters each at the spots and its going to be impossible for the average Joe to get a chance to get these things. Maybe I'm selfish, but as a working adult with a family, I want to be able to play as I can and make progress and just enjoy my time and nostalgia.

Looking back, it was perhaps a genius move that jagex made the dragon square shield half drop the way they did; dozens of random enemies of all levels dropped it, but the rate was incredibly rare. By fluke I got one from a lesser demon (without even trying) after having probably killing tens of thousands of them training combat xp.

I'm thinking that might be a good way to release the dragon items if they're not going to be in a shop. This keeps them from having a tied value (and eventually dropping to alch value) which is always good for end-game content to keep things interesting.

On 8th may. According to OP. ? If they only knew how dead this game feels these days they'd worry about other things than chat filtering. But i guess they think it's so alive compared to rev1.?
