Hello everyone,

Over the last couple of days we've been working on a number of Android client improvements based on your feedback. Below is the full change log.

Android client

Fixed navigation buttons overlapping the screen and making the inventory difficult to click. Option to force show or hide the navigation buttons is in the Settings Interface.
Added a dedicated keyboard button that can be placed on the left or right side of the screen, with customisable Y-axis position; the button can also be hidden entirely
Added ability to customise the Y-axis position of the spell casting button
Simplified click and camera rotate logic — clicks on the map are now sent to the server almost immediately
Camera rotation now requires two fingers or use of phone volume buttons
Zooming now uses the pinch gesture exclusively
Tapping text input fields on interfaces now opens the keyboard automatically
Fixed sound volume control
Updated the Android app icon
Client now correctly disconnects your character when closing the app
Performance optimisations — camera rotation and general gameplay should feel smoother

Update to post: I see lots of people are not fans of the new camera mechanic, I will add option to have the old way available. The logic to do this was to speed up the input. Previous way was that the click registers on the lift if the finger, now it is the touch action.

All clients

Added option to control how player titles are displayed: inline with the name (default), below the name, or hidden
More descriptive error messages when your character has issues or restrictions

Other changes

NPC choice what player to attack is now more randomised
Wilderness is now correctly limited to 2IPs
Skipper now has a delay before teleporting you after death (no spam clicking required, just need to wait)
Email verification is now required to play
Refined chat filter

Good fix re keyboard toggle for Android.

However, can this be made options -
Camera rotation now requires two fingers or use of phone volume buttons

I had no issues with using one finger to rotate the camera. Two is a pain.

Also, trying to delete a message using the back button on android is a pain. I've realised you have to hold it down to initiate but there's still a lag.

Simply tapping in AH works fine so would be good if this can be replictaed when typing in chat.

As a mobile only player, appreciate the updates. The only complaint I have is bring back the 1 finger swipe to move camera.

Thank you for the hard work and updates. I'm really enjoying this classic launch and its feel.

I recommend reverting the android camera rotation. I feel that 1 finger sufficed and worked well.

Ya I cant play again until the orbit goes back to 1 finger. I play on android w/ mouse.
Amazing project and I look forward to playing once one finger orbit is back :'((((

that sucks bro, hopefully they just roll back the update (android orbit) and just release the change at a later date in a better way

Ahhh whoever gave the idea 2 finger camera rotation def doesnt play droid not for nothing but ive been a droid player and nothijg but droid player since the start of rev 1 and i havent even tried it yet n i already know its going to not be good sorry dont mean to be negative but just being honest...n cmon email verification on all accounts in order to play seems a bit much honestly..idk i mean if we are willing to take tbe chance to not care about extra security its prob bc we dont care as is if people are really that fucked to try hackinf 1 another in this game at this point on time then they need it more then me in order to make.there miserable lives happier then take me. i dont want those guys gettijg so depressed they end up offing themselves 1 day..if my rev gold will save there life then so be it=P ffs tho cmon

Mentioned above by a lot of users - 1 camera finger rotation was perfect. New system is clunky. Glad to see feedback was taken on-board. ?

Wilderness is supposed to be high risk high reward.
The reward is better exp rate and ability to afk on low level monsters.
The risk is having to wait 2 minutes and waste exp if you die.

Previously there was 0 risk and no justification for the reward of better exp multiplier. The risk is almost non-existent still but at least there is something now
