What a week. Honestly, we never expected a turnout like this — seeing so many players concentrated on one world, running into people everywhere across the F2P map, felt like something from the old days. It has been genuinely amazing and we are grateful for every single one of you who showed up.
With that kind of turnout comes real responsibility. The people investing time into building characters right now deserve to have that time respected. That goes especially for the players who are coming back after years away or who had written off RSC private servers entirely — we want to give them a reason to stay.
This is the right moment to gather quality data and make the right calls while the server is alive and active. So that's exactly what we're doing.
It's Time to Vote
The most pressing decision right now is what changes, if any, should be made to the Wilderness in the coming weeks.
We're seeing a lot of discussion about the drawbacks of multi-logging in Wilderness — training spots dominated by organised groups, lone players unable to compete, and the broader question of what makes the Wilderness worth entering at all. These are real problems and we want to address them with real data rather than gut feeling.
Today we are launching the first RSCR2 community questionnaire — the first of many that will shape this server into the best RSC experience it can be.
The questionnaire will be available on the index page until end of the wee. We'll advertise it via email and follow up with players who haven't voted yet to maximise participation. That said, if a clear majority emerges early, we may act on the Wilderness earlier — we'll be transparent about that if it happens.
One important note: please vote only on your forum account. Multiple submissions from the same player will be filtered — only the first submission will count.
Cast your vote on this dedicated page.
Your Vote Has Weight
We deliberately waited until the server had been live for some time before launching this questionnaire. The reason is simple — we now have real data about who is actually playing.
Rather than treating every vote equally regardless of context, we're using in-game data to give more weight to votes from active, invested players. Factors we consider include how much time you've spent in the game, what kind of player you are, and whether you've been flagged for rule violations. This isn't about punishing anyone — it's about making sure the results reflect the genuine community rather than being skewed by players who aren't actually invested in the server's future.
To participate, you must have at least 5 hours of playtime on your account.
Wilderness Questions
1. IP limit — Preference
What IP limit would you prefer in Wilderness? IP limit means how many characters you should have in Wilderness in one given moment
2. IP limit — Dealbreaker
What IP limit in Wilderness would make you stop playing or not join at all?
3. Split Wilderness zones
Would you support dividing Wilderness into two permanent zones with different IP rules — for example, east side restricted and west side unrestricted — so players can choose their experience?
4. 1vs1 Opt-In system
Should there be an opt-in system where players can choose fair 1v1 fights, protected from multi-attacks for the duration of an engagement?
5. What would bring you to Wilderness regularly?
Open text — tell us what would make the Wilderness worth your time.
Results will not be displayed publicly. This is intentional — we want your honest opinion, not a response to what everyone else is doing.
Timeline
We aim to make the Wilderness decision within 48-72 hours from the questionnaire starting. If results are clearly leaning in one direction early, we may move sooner. Either way we will communicate openly before any change is made.
Additional Important Questions
I want to ask some important free form questions, if you have the time please fill ones that seem important to you.
- If you've played RSC private servers before and quit, what was the main reason?
- What decision do you think makes or breaks a private server?
- Are you worried or annoyed by anything in particular on RSCR2 right now?
- What are the biggest bugs or flaws on RSCR2 you want to see fixed?
- What would you most like to see added to the server?
- What content you look forward to on P2P?
- When should we release the Members content?
These questions help us understand what keeps players on a server long term and what drives them away — your honest answers matter more than positive ones.
Thank you!
Thank you very much for being with us and your time answering this important questionnaire.
