I've downloaded the .jar launcher and also updated java.
A small window of the client opens and says "Checking for updates" then the red bar completes and it says " starting launcher..." and then just closes out. Anyone else having this issue?

no, i was unable to resolve this issue but I do have a PC that its working fine on.
