Hey everyone,

We're a week in and I want to properly spotlight something I think a lot of you are sleeping on: the Market page on the website. This isn't just a list of buy/sell orders — it's a full economy tracker with price history, charts, deal-finding tools, and live data. Here's everything it can do.

Overview — The Live Pulse of the Economy

The main page shows all active buy and sell orders across the entire server, plus a real-time activity feed of items being listed and sold as they happen. You can filter by category — armor, weapons, runes, food, potions, ores & bars, arrows, herblaw, crafting — or search for a specific item. There are currently around 775 sell orders and 75 buy orders live. That's a proper market with real depth.

Deals — Buy Low, Sell High

The Deals page is probably the most immediately useful tab if you're trying to make money. It automatically finds:

  • Sell orders priced below market median — items you can buy for less than they're actually worth
  • Buy orders priced above market median — buyers willing to pay over the odds, great if you have items to sell

You filter by how far off market the price is: 5%, 10%, 15%, or 25%+ threshold. You also pick the time window the market median is based on — 24 hours or 7 days.  There are lots of merchanting opportunities if you know what you're looking at.

Price Rises & Falls — Spot What's Moving

The Price Rises and Price Falls pages show the top 100 biggest movers in either direction. For each item you see the start price, end price, total change in gp, and percentage change. Filter by 24h, 7d, 30d, 90d, or 180d.

This is a fresh economy and prices are nowhere near settled, there are still some silly price risers. Checking this page regularly tells you which items are in demand before everyone else figures it out.

Valuable Trades & Most Traded

Valuable Trades shows the highest-value items actually changing hands — min, average, and max price per item, plus how that compares to the prior period. Good for understanding what the big-ticket economy looks like.

Most Traded shows what's moving by volume, with daily min/max/median breakdowns. This week's top items by total units traded:

  • Bronze Arrows — 249,000 traded
  • Coal — 220,000 traded
  • Fire Runes — 166,000 traded
  • Air Runes — 135,000 traded
  • Iron Ore — 85,000 traded

That's serious skilling activity happening in the background. The economy has a real backbone already.

Item Detail Pages — The Best Part

Click any item and you get its own dedicated page with everything you'd want to know.

Current market data

  • Last trade price — exactly when it sold and for how much
  • Current best buy price and best sell price at a glance
  • How many active buy and sell orders exist right now

Price history table across five time periods — 24h, 7d, 30d, 90d, 180d:

  • Price range (low and high for the period)
  • Median price
  • Price change % vs the start of the period
  • Period vs prior period % (compares this whole window against the previous one)
  • Trend arrow — shows whether the price is still moving in the same direction or flattening
  • Total trading volume

Interactive price and volume charts — this is the fun part. You can see the actual price curve over time and how trading volume moved alongside it. Switch between time periods and watch the shape of the market change. For items that have been trading all week you're starting to see real patterns: spikes when someone dumps a big stack, steady climbs as demand grows, crashes when supply floods in. It's genuinely interesting to look at even if you're not trying to merch.

Full order history — all recent buy and sell orders with their status: active, filled, expired, cancelled. You can see exactly what people paid and whether orders got filled or not.

A note on median prices: The price displayed is always the median — not the last single trade. This means one person dumping 10k fire runes at 1gp doesn't tank the displayed market price. Half of all trades happened above the median, half below. It's a much more accurate picture of what something is actually worth.

Item Catalogue

There's also a full Item Catalogue — a searchable database of every item in the game, useful for finding items before you go looking for them on the market.

A Few Practical Notes

  • No marketplace tax until ~3 months post-launch. Everything going through the marketplace right now is completely fee-free.
  • Face-to-face trading is always tax-free regardless of when the marketplace tax comes in.
  • The more players use the market, the better the data gets. More trades means better price history, more accurate medians, and better deal detection.

Bookmark it, check it before you price your sell orders, and use the Deals page before you buy anything expensive.

Amazing. Thank you. I love the QoL features. Auto walk, bank sort, auction house, market page etc. Awesome stuff.

This'll be a noob Q but how do you buy items from market place? People in-game mention that items are on AH (not sure what AH even stands for) but I see no way of placing bids or DM'ing sellers?

Go behind edge bank and talk to the auctioneer. You can buy/sell from there.

Love the market page on the website! I'm always checking for the best listed price prior to getting to Edge.
